DESCRIPTION:It will be all hands on deck as the living history crews of the USS ALABAMA\, USS DRUM and our visiting crews come together for a day of WWII reenactments.  The Blue Anchor Belles will entertain with 1940s music at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on the deck.  It’s call to battle stations at 1:00 p.m. as vintage airplanes attack the ship in a mock battle scene.  Our crew members will defend the ship with guns blazing!  Activities planned throughout the day.  Included in admission.

This drill will commemorate the 75th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor.  Learn what life was like on these naval vessels during wartime. Be on the deck of the USS ALABAMA at 1 pm for the “call to battle stations” as vintage airplanes dive bomb the ship. Watch the men defend the Lucky A with guns blazing! Authentic WWII airplanes\, L-Birds\, will hold a fly-in on the field and conduct aerial maneuvers throughout the day\, weather permitting. Our ham radio broadcasters will also be broadcasting live from the ship. Much more to be planned.  Included in admission.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for our annual Veterans Day Celebration and Parade of Flags.  The event features 4th grade students from Mobile and Baldwin County in a parade of American Flags.  Music\, presentations\, and a keynote address on “Be Your Best Self” by the 2019 Distinguished Young Woman of America.  The 2018 Veterans Day Essay Contest winners will present their winning essays.  The event is free of charge and the public is invited to attend.

DESCRIPTION:The Alabama Bicentennial Commission will open Battleship Memorial Park for a free admission day in celebration of Veterans Day.  We are honored to serve as the state’s official Veterans Day Celebration.  Join us for: Veterans Group Photo at 1:45 p.m.; Emerald Coast Skydivers will bring in the flags on our field at 2:45 p.m.; Veterans Day and Parade of Flags featuring our 4th grade students will be in the Pavilion at 3:00 p.m.; and the day ends with our traditional Veterans Day Concert by the Mobile Symphonic Pops Band at 7:00 p.m.   All events are free and everyone is invited to attend.  Kennels are available for those traveling with pets. \n
