LifeSouth Community Blood Services will hold their annual Memorial Day Blood Drive at the park. Donors will be given a recognition gift and a free cholesterol screening. Donors must be 16 years old and weigh 110 pounds. Blood mobile will be set up adjacent to the Gift Shop.
The Deep South Amateur Radio Club will be broadcasting from the USS ALABAMA and USS DRUM during this continuous radio broadcast. The broadcast is part of the historic naval fleet yearly broadcast. Call letter for the USS ALABAMA are K4DSR and for the USS DRUM are K5LDA.
Members of the USS DRUM Crewmen's Association Reunion will gather at the park for their yearly reunion. Memorial Service and a closed Luncheon will be held.

Battleship Memorial Park will be the starting point for this year's Tunnel to Towers Run. This run is held in memory of 9/11. Runners will race through Mobile's Bankhead Tunnel as part of the race course, ending in downtown Mobile. For information contact mobile@tunnel2tower.org
