DESCRIPTION:The 13th annual Memorial Day Flag Relay will wind through the streets of Mobile starting at 7:00 a.m. and end at Battleship Memorial Park.  Runners will carry the US flag and the Service flag\, paying tribute to those who have given their lives in service to our country.  The relay team should enter the park at approximately 10:30 a.m.\, stop and pay their respects in a “flag touch” at all of the US and Service flags throughout the park\, and end on the Fantail of the USS ALABAMA.  Please join us in welcoming the runners into the park.

Be on the deck of the USS ALABAMA at 1 pm for the “call to battle stations” as vintage airplanes dive bomb the ship. Watch the men defend the Lucky A with guns blazing! Authentic WWII airplanes\, L-Birds\, will hold a fly-in on the field and conduct aerial maneuvers throughout the day\, weather permitting. Our ham radio broadcasters will also be broadcasting live from the ship. Much more to be planned.  Included in admission.

DESCRIPTION:Come help us celebrate the 50th anniversary of the USS DRUM at Battleship Memorial Park.  The day will include the unveiling of a new crewmen’s kiosk\, a Memorial Service remembering those we have lost from the USS DRUM crew and a celebration of this National Historic Landmark.  The USS DRUM Living History Crew will be aboard to help tell the story of her crew.  Included in admission.

DESCRIPTION:Come see history come alive! Join us as our WWII historical reactors board the battleship USS ALABAMA and submarine USS DRUM. Learn what life was like on these naval vessels during wartime. Be on the deck of the USS ALABAMA at 1 pm for the “call to battle stations” as vintage airplanes dive bomb the ship. Watch the men defend the Lucky A with guns blazing! Authentic WWII airplanes\, L-Birds\, will hold a fly-in on the field and conduct aerial maneuvers throughout the day\, weather permitting. Our ham radio broadcasters will also be broadcasting live from the ship. Included in admission.

DESCRIPTION:The American Radio Relay League will be hosting Museum Ships Weekend\, a continuous radio broadcast by the historic ship fleet.  The Deep South Amateur Radio Club will board the USS ALABAMA and USS DRUM and conduct a 36 hour broadcast.  The broadcast will begin on Friday evening and continue through Sunday.  Call letters for the USS ALABAMA is K4DSR\, frequency between 20-40 meters.  Stop by and check out our radio operators and listen to their conversations.
