There will be an Easter Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. on the grounds of the park hosted by Government Street Baptist Church. This is the 29th year for this event. The service is free of charge and open to the public.
The Tristan de Luna Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will be hosting an unveiling and dedication of a new historical marker on the grounds of the park honoring Tristan de Luna y Arellano. This is an Alabama Bicentennial Celebration event.

The American Radio Relay League will be hosting Museum Ships Weekend, a continuous radio broadcast by the historic ship fleet.
